Heat from E-brake

I have done several searches and, as usual ;) couldn't find it.

I remember someone talking about heat coming from the emergency brake base. Anyone know what was done about it?

..well today I made a boot for the e-brake...while I was at it might as well make a new handle...it looked good to me ....so... a made a set of matching caps for the wipers/turn signal levers.....

there was a post last year on hot air coming from the e-break handle. it was something about the engine cover not being on correct. taht is were the air was coming from on that car.
