Heated seats anyone - S. California

Question for Smart owners in Southern California;

How many owners out there purchased or configured the heated seats options on their new smarts?.

I am getting ready to configure my Smart and am weighing the option of adding heating seats to the configuration. By taking this survey, I can get a consensus.

Thanks to all who read this post and reply.

I ordered mine with heated seats, but I'm in Minneapolis. I wouldn't think you'd really need them in SoCal. However, temperature is all relative. This week it's supposed to be in the lower 40's and after the winter, that feels really warm. We roll down our windows again once we're out of the 30's. When you're used to 70's all the time, 50's are chilly... So you might still want the heated seats... they sure are nice when you want them. And I've used them on the demo car up here, and they get really hot in the high setting pretty fast, you actually need to turn them down or even off after about 2 minutes.

I'm not in So Cal... but I am in San Francisco.. and I'll never own another car without heated seats if I can avoid it. They are awesome -not so much for heating your bootie but more for soothing a back**sore or not. I love them even on a hot day with the a/c. Having tried them on the smart on my last test drive, these are very good ones and a cheap treat.

Ditto - and fwiw, when we were living in SoCal we did use the heated seats in that car at night/early morning too. It doesn't have to be Antarctica cold for a warm seat to feel nice

I have heated seats and I live in Texas. I love it especially in the mornings when it's cool. I too agree it's great soothing for a sore back.

I have heated seats in San Diego, and love 'em! They have a lo-hi position switch, and warm up much quicker than the heater. Also, it's nice to drive with cool (not heated) air and still have a toasty butt.

We love to put the top down and the seats on when we drive home on cool evenings after a dinner out. Even in an LA spring it can get cool at night.

I've got them and used them a couple times in February in the morning when its cold. I enjoy it, I didn't have to turn on the actual heater cause my body was nice and toasty sitting in the seat. Don't anticipate using the feature in the summer as they will heat themselves!
