Help I am falling off the wagon!

I have come to the realization that my Smart will not be here for at least a year. The more I think about it the less I can bare the wait. Sometime I think of getting, dare I say, a Mini for a quick fix but I come back to my senses.

Well the past couple of nights I have broken out into cold sweats over the Smart Car. I think I may have to go on a 12 step program to get back to reality. Then maybe not, I don't really think there is anything wrong I can handle this...can't I?

Should I join Smart Car Anonymous? Maybe a stay at the Betty Ford Clinic would help. Or better, yet maybe I should buy that Ferrari 355 I always wanted. Yeah that should hold me until my Smart Car gets here.

As you can see I am at my wits end and I need your help to keep me sane. Any suggestions?

Vanslam, love is like this. It twists you up and the throws you down. Hard. On the pavement. Never mind, just hold tight and get an orphan list. Travel much? Visit smart centers in a variety of states and introduce yourself. Beg for an orphan smart. Buy the director lunch. A single malt whiskey as an offering usually works for a variety of gods.

Good luck!

I've begged, I've pleaded, I've groveled at my dealer. They say I am the first on the orphan list. But the awful truth is I watch the orphans going to friends and family and insiders of the dealer. Let the games begin!!! Alas, I might have to buy myself a porsche or something to keep me warm through these cold winter nights

Where are you located, smartdavis? Davis, CA? or ??? Let's figure this out and get you a car**I am on a roll tonight. I am going to see if we can't all get our smarts before we expect to get our smarts. And I am not talkin' brains here

And just say no to Porsche, far to pedestrian for you, oh discriminating one.

Hang in there. I first saw the smart in Paris in 2001. I test drove a 450 in 2004 up at Zap! in Santa Rosa, leaving a $1000 deposit. Then waited. And waited, and finally concluded that Zap! wasn't going to get it done and got the money back after 18 months.

The wait will be worth it.

Remember, you already have the passion...
