Don't believe that many people were that willing to take a chance on something that might be a just a "possibly" (but will admit that we did take that chance ourselves after actually looking at a SMART while in Canada but the wife wasn't completely sold on idea until she had a actual test drive in Alanta).
actually, the process started on the 19th of March. however, several of us (thousands) were already on an information e-mail list ever since the announcement was made that the Smart would finally be coming to the US. Those people on that list were sent notification as soon as the $99 program was established which is why some of us were able to register on the day it launched.

that said, you are in a lot better shape than a lot of people but make no mistake, there are thousands in front of you i would guess.

If the reservation process was first put up online on March 19th, AND THAT IS MY HUBBY'S BIRTHDAY!, does it follow that we get our smart car really soon? Heh heh just kidding. But could anyone here give me an ETA for of us late arrivals who didn't sign up until the 1st of November? How long would you expect it would be? Any info is appreciated! ) Terry & Frank

BTW - If anyone wants to trade numbers ( young for old of course ) we may have a deal for you!!!!!!

It appears that reservations are about six months behind confirmations and then another four months from then until delivery at present. Your time is subject to change.
