Today at the gas station, a girl comes running up and askes the question, "is your car gas or electric". I couldn't help myself, , I said, "if it were electric, I wouldn't be here, would I?"
At the gas station I have a feeling that's what most people are getting at. Of course with my exhaust you can CLEARLY hear me coming into a parking spot yet right after I get out of the car I get the question.
My aunt passed away last weekend. My parents drove their Passion to her viewing last week, they said everyone's question when they came in was Who's little car is that out there?". The next day they swung by the cemetery as there was not a formal burial, just a drop her in the ground sort of thing. They just wanted to check everything was OK. The cemetery workers were cleaning up the plot and my parents said they mobbed them with questions but respectfully waited to do so until they saw everything was done with. Yeah - no sign for them.
I had a Chevron Station attendant in Ashland, Or. ask me for the wind-up key! I told him, "just drag it back twenty feet to load up the spring and I'll be off!!" Then the real questions began.

i think several members have been asked that question. do you think all those inquiring minds are related?
I had a similar thing happen a few weeks ago, only this guy started off his conversation by saying that he " watched me fill it up" then came up and asked if it was electric! He seemed really excited about talking to me about my smartie, so I was polite and answered his questions. Besides, I felt a little sorry for him, he was driving a Hyundia that looked like it had been through WWIII, and I'm thoroughly convinced that his parents were a lot closer related than they should have been. I guess it takes all types.
I think I will have a little fun with those types, throw them a curb ball and tell them it's a Hydrogen Fuel Cell car, that it converts gasoline in to hydrogen and that it only emits water vapor.
