Does well at 65-85. Not super loud... don't notice wind noise. Only shakey when behind a big truck or when being passed by same. I drive 23 miles to work mostly freeway. No problems noticed.

Its somewhat sensitive to wind and the little rail-like lines on the highway, but nothing I'd consider unbearable or unpleasant. I don't think wind or road noise is bad at all.

Road noise is noticable, but not objectionable. Wind noise is very low. Stability in crosswinds is better than our 4,600 lb Isuzu Trooper.

I would say it drives fine at 65+, but it is VERY much impacted by wind at that speed. It feels a bit squirly at those speeds when the wind hits.

Depends on the road

I have had the same experiences as most people with slight movement due to wind, passing trucks, etc, but the biggest factor for me has been the quality of the road. The car was fine up to 80 on our ride home from Jacksonville, and my northbound interstate ride to work is no problem, but I have found an alternate route home because of the surface of the southbound lane. It's just too wavy and trenched to drive with the smart without feeling like I'm weaving. Nothing that would have kept me from buying the car, but I might be having second thoughts if all of the roads around here were that bad.

it's a lot quieter than my 350z on the freeway and yes it does move around a bit more than the average car at 70-80mph, but it's nothing that even the worst driver can't adjust to. i don't mind it at all, just like i don't mind the transmission because it makes the driving experience more "involved"

30 miles on Interstate

No big issues, as others have said, road quality makes a difference, noticeable most on concrete sections with squiggly groves for traction (?). Some nudging from big rigs and strong crosswinds at freeway speeds. But it takes up so much less width in a lane, you have room for error at freeway speeds.

If at all in doubt, take it for a freeway ride before you sign / pay. I'm sure the dealer will accommodate a test drive and not be at all put off if you make him an orphan he / she can then load up with profit.;)
