Hit 90 today and I don't mean the temperature

I was a little late for work today and was on the HWY and before I knew it I looked at my speedo and I was doing 90! Damn, I never thought my car would be that smooth cruising 90mph.

Run 80 mph all the time. It's legal i west Texas. Occasionally, I'll buzz 90 passing a road-train of semis cruising 70.

It's a rush.

I did a steady 85mph the other night on the way to the emergency room - hit 90 in some places. Speeding isn't normally my game in the Smart - slow and steady wins the race.

I hit 90 mph before I even had 20 miles on the odometer... =X I had to rush my .. hmm ex.. g/f back to work. Actually we rushed out of the dealership as well lol...

Technically you'll see the needle go above 90mph but in reality your only going 90 mph. If you have GPS it'll verify your speed, the speedometer, like almost every other factory speedometer is calibrated to show you a few mph over your actual speed

WOW! Maybe instead of "breaking in" the girlfriend, You might want to think about a proper "break in" for the car first....

No worries The car was definitely broken in, didn't exactly mash the throttle to reach 90. 90 in 5th gear isn't stressful to the engine at all. But I understand, it's like all these mis conceptions that people have when they see such a tiny car ;) At least I wasn't red lining it and shifting so it's all good Don't want this to turn into an endless debate But my smart is definitely strong and healthy after 7000 miles
