Doubt it. I'd say wait until you can get the car to sign up on the orphan list.

Why don't you just reserve one for $99 as a back-up plan?

Call the dealership and ask how they administer their orphan list. It might be that when you get on the list doesn't really matter or that they'll but you on the list now for "call in March" so you'll be at the top of the call-up list then.

No dealership wants to sit on unsold inventory.

Again, this depends on your dealer. Ask, it can't hurt. Maybe you can keep passing until you move down the list at just the right point for your timing.

Most dealers seem to administering their "orphan lists" in that IF you are offered one and don't take it, you go back to the bottom of the list! You will need to check with "your" dealer to be sure

I had a similar situation with my orphan. The Minnesota Dealer would not hold one for me, but I told then the date when I would be back in town from school. I got home on Saturday, they had two options of orphans for me. I took the blue one
