After consistently getting 35-38 mpg, I got 40mpg not driving any differently than I'm used to this past fill up.

Very strange.

Am I actually going to be getting better and better gas mileage?
I did just get my 20k service 2 weeks ago tho.
Maybe that was it

I don't drive in 'stop&go' too awfully much but am up and down moderate hills.
That's a pretty high idle.
What you got in there ? A Hayabusa engine?

By the way, I once drove 1020 miles from Ft Lauderdale to Northern VA.

Filled up 4 times. 3 Tanks got me like 38 mpg and 1 tank got me like 25 mpg somewhere in South Carolina. I knew immediately that either the gas was dirty OR they lied about what kind of gas I actually bought. I was worried cuz the 1 tank that I got 25mpg was in the middle of the trip so I thought something was wrong w/ the car. Kept going, no issues LOL

Just drove 2000 miles from St. Louis to Philly and back I averaged 44.5mpg . This was even going through the mountains.

UGh... ok.. on the phone now with the SF Smart Center. The last two tanks I've averaged SEVENTEEN MPG! I'd been getting over 22... and I'm a City driver - Basically never on the freeway. Something's gotta be wrong.

(Being a city driver I know I'm not gonna get awesome mileage... but the lowest I've seen posted on these boards is about 25. I shouldn't be getting less than 20 for sure.)
