Houston/Galveston (Re: gathering)

I'm sure this thread will get booted to the regional forum, but I'm not sure how many folks visit that on a regular basis. SO.......

Houston Area Get-Together Suggestion
I have a suggestion for the smarties in the Houston area for when it cools off some, and I'd be more than happy to organize it if need be.

How about the Saint Arnold Brewery one Saturday. The brewery is in near Northwest Houston, off Highway 290 near 34th/Antoine. They have "tours" every Saturday at 1:00. The tour costs $5, and includes a souvenier glass and four refills of any of their beers. If you are already a Saint Arnold drinker, you may use 10 six-pack carriers to pay for admission. [U]Worst case scenario, I have hundreds of six-pack carriers to donate for admission![/U]

The brewery recently purchased the old HISD food service building near downtown, and will hopefully be moving there the first of October after a three-million-dollar renovation!

GREAT idea!!! Also, check out Houston smart car Club - smart USA insider and post it there, and/or send a note to Jan at West U. Kind of a partying group - we just did a trip to Galveston. Pics and some video in the group site. Also note the meeting coming up September 27 at Chuy's.

St. Arnold's smart gathering sounds great. Just do not forget to bring the hot wings! (and perhaps a fan) My Smart knows the way! When was the Galveston meet? I live in Galveston and never saw a "convoy" (as I did with the mini coopers.). I would have joined in if I would have seen it!
