How does the car handle the wind?

Where I'm at, we frequently see sustained winds of 20-30mph and gusts in the 40mph range. How does the smart car handle in both a crosswind and accelerating into a headwind? thanks

Check this forum and UK/Canadian forums for this subject; quite a few comments about cross wind handling. Around town shouldn't be an issue; on the highway at 70 mph may be a different story. Same with passing (or being passed by) semis - could be interesting.

Been there, done that with a 450 across country from SFO to NYC. It feels about the same as any other small car I've driven on the freeway, like a 2001 Prius. Buffeted a bit by semi's, feel the cross wind when coming across the California desert. No problem to handle that.
