Call the dealer every week to get an update, make sure they know your name and who you are. Stop in just to gawk and let them know you're on the list...

Believe me it helps

Six days, Talked to dealer in Knoxville, Tn. on Feb. 14th. They called back on Feb. 16th, picked it up on Feb. 20th. They didn't add any extras, also didn't have to put down $300.00 deposit which I here they now require.

I reserved a car in the middle of May and they put me on the orphan list without a deposit. A week ago they called me and said there was one available, so they asked for a $500 deposit until I could get there the next day to pick it up. It is a Passion with some extras I would not have chosen, such as leather seats and the premium sound package. Basically all the extras of a Cabrio without the convertible top, but since I had ordered a Cabrio I didn't mind taking the Passion now and possibly getting the Cabrio next summer.

I was on a the regular reservation list for about 4 months. Went into the dealer to see about getting on the orphan list and he said they had two Cabriolets. Didn't really want a convertible, but drove off the lot about an hour later with one.

Got on the orphan's list April 30th and got the call today. I am picking up a red/silver with red interior passion coupe on Monday. This is exactly the car I "reserved" on April 21st. Stopped at Loeber last Monday to say hi and saw this one in the back lot, told Billy that if there is any chance of that one becoming available I'll take it pronto and also that my birthday is this Sunday. What a great birthday gift to myself! Billy has been great to work with and I hope Monday goes smoothly and this is going to be a veeerrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyy long weekend!
