Sure enough, after reading a post that referenced the DaimlerChrysler badging (located on the driver's door jamb), I checked my smart (build date 11/07) and sure enough I have one of these maybe-rare ID designations. Any idea how many cars were imported with DaimlerChrysler badging before Chrysler was removed from the ID?
Since Daimler & Chrysler parted ways in 2007, all of the new 2008 production stickers will now say "Daimler AG". You guys with earlier ones have collector's editions.

In early January before any deliveries were made Dave schembri told me there were 1200 smarts at the docks in the USA. Since these would have all been built prior to Jan I would suspect all of them are tagged as DC cars.
Mine was an 11/07 build and is tagged that way and it has been reported the 12/07 cars were tagged that way as well.
