Salesman lied.....he knew.
"Don't know" is inexcusable customer service, the correct response is "I will find out and get back to you".
"Don't know" is usually prohibited for CSRs.
Daimler should mandate a scripted response to "How much for a replacement key" since the parts guys and salesmen are playing dumb.
I hope the used car value guides ding $500 when a SmartCar has only one key.
My time is worth something, and since the blades and fobs are not a stocked item, getting a key is at least two trips to the dealer.
