Was that the smart extended warranty or a third party warranty? I've been wondering what they will add for coverage beyond the included 2/24K.

Thanks.

What was your MPG going home? Hope you had a good trip. I talked to you before you left about the beige interior (I think). Is it as much fun as we think?

cains10, it was a pleasure to get to know you and chat with you. You'll love yours when you get it. This car is a hoot to drive. I had more people take cell phone pictures of me than I've could have possibly imagined. I even got blocked in on the right lane a few times with people coming up beside me and then matching my speed and just sitting there. I varied the speed up and down on my way home so as to be easy on the engine for the initial breakin. I currently have about 500 miles on it now. Even with the slowing down and speeding up, I got 39.9 on the way home. I figure once the engine is broken in, and I'm more consistent on my speed, I should be able to bust over 40 easily. We'll see. Also, I just couldn't believe how easy this car got up to 70 and even 85mph. Believe it or not, it doesn't seem like you are going that fast in the little car. On my spurt to 85 I did notice how the crosswind does play a challenge for you, but only at the highest speeds for me. Back at 70 was fine. I was wondering if the speedo was off, but I was staying up and passing other cars with ease. I know you will be pleased. Now when do you expect yours? I believe you told me but I forgot.

Also did the 'gas cap' thing. You're not alone dickey.

Temperature in Michigan has not gotten above freezing so mileage has not been as high as some reports. I've gotten mid 30's, one road trip into the 40's.

No problems, great on the freeway - luv'in it. The radio sounds much better with CD's, than AM/FM. Wish it would warm up so I could put the top down.
Free set of panels? Whats that?

Second half of '08 is what the e-mail said. We'll see, someone told me they are trying to speed up deliveries (wishful thinking, I think). Glad your trip was safe. The MPG sounds great.

2000 Miles and Going Strong

l've just turned the odo over 2000 miles since since my 1/17 delivery - and enjoy the little 'bugger' more each day.

It's not been an easy task for smarty, since it's been between -5 and +20 degrees since he came home. The mileage has been improving (Low of 32 - High of 44) as the motor has broken in - but the problem is keeping him to a 'reasonble' speed. I commute 60 miles a day on Detroit Metro freeways (otherwise known as "the NO SKILL 500") and smarty loves to mix it in the left lane. Blow's the citizens away when the micro smart comes by at speed.

Absolutely NO problems in the first 2K. Had a 'check engine' light because I did not tighten the gas cap - and the early release check of the shifter cable confirmed no problem.

Hope everyones early experience is a great as mine.
