Old enough to know better (58). And young enough not to care what anyone thinks!

All very accurate!

When I told someone who works for smart about this thread, he laughed and told me that in his opinion "kids drive minis but their parents drive smart." Loved it, since I haven't seen a truly young face driving a smart.

Also think we "old folks" need some kind of "Hi, fellow smart person" way to hail other drivers--kinda like the "slug bug" we used to say when we spotted a fellow VW driver years ago.

Okay, I'm a geezer who doesn't own a Smart Car, but I'm thinking about it.

Like a lot of guys my age I've got a hankering to get a (fast) toy to play around with, something like a Harley or a Corvette. My wife isn't too keen on either one, so maybe a Smart Car with a couple hundred horsepower would be a nice compromise (and who says she has to know about the engine).

I'm guessing there are a lot of "boomers" out there who feel the same way I do. They wouldn't mind being seen driving around in a dinky (but cute) "eco friendly" car that's so easy to park, as long as it could blow the doors off of anything in town.
