How the smart handles the heat

just got back from a quick drive,

the pictures say it all, and for those who dont know the temp is in Celsius!!

it's still getting hotter!!

even after extended idle the temp didnt get into the top 2 bars on the gauge (you in the us dont have a temp gauge) and the inlet temps rose as high as 70deg c, the ac was on full blast and it handled it no worries, but it felt a tiny lil bit sluggish compared to normal, but thats to be expected, an hour earlier i nearly died from the heat when i was riding home from work on the moto, i measured the temps and it was 50c out on the highway, had to stop every 5 min for a drink cos it was too hot to breathe LOL

sorry for the crap pic i was driving and its sunny and the iphone camera has no settings

I know Melbourne! LOL. Not everyone here are Drongos. Well, how well does it handle the heat, mate? A/C work ok?

Sounds like our weather in the summer here. 45-48 durring the day, 27-32 at night.

I hate the heat!

it did better than i expected the a/c worked really well it was on flat out recirculating... but i have a windscreen sun shield stuffed under the sunshade, that makes all the difference, otherwise i'd be roasted by now (the 20% window tint helps a bit too), the otherday i measured the interior at 65c with the laser thermometer... then decided i need to do something about the heat, so far so happy with my $1 shade

Andrew, could you do me a favor? Since your heat is similar to ours I need you to do a test for me. Park your smart in the sun for an hour or two, get in and run it down the freeway for an hour or so with the A/C on at least 20c or so (does the pulse have auto a/c? If not, cold!) and check the temp again to see how it cools down. Thanks man!
