But I have shown that people can walk away from a smart accident and the larger vehicle's occupants didnt. Larger is not always safer.

Talking about photos, I know that after x amount of time, photos and what not are public domain as far as I understood. Not sure of the time frame, but I have yet to hear any Smart Car Crashes in the US that are fatal. So, I am wondering where you are getting the info saskdiesel.

Besides you being an investigative reporter.

Can't you just say, that one happened in this city on this date? Then we just do a google search and I am sure the news story is still avail. If you get my meaning. You then are not breaking any of your rules. You did not know us pics or provide details on the crash.

Yea, really? It would help bolster your opinion at least and would add more information to our collective knowledge.

I'm not an investigative reporter whatever that is.
I'm a Police Officer. I work in the Forensic Investigation Unit (FIU) or CSI as its known on TV.
And Police photo's are not public domain.

Well, seeing as you have not given any scenarios, and I have shown several ones that HAVE happened, I believe I HAVE proven that larger is not always safer. You cant argue with that.

FLUFFY!

Raw data, photos, statistics, etc... can be used to a single person's gain too easily. As in, proving my point over yours. Smaller, Smart, SUV, larger - you can't say it's always safer or safer overall, even with a study. Why? Because to get controlled study conditions you'd have to deliberately subject cars and drivers to fatal accident conditions. Then you'd have to come up with a standard way to measure safety. Hey, didn't I see something like that somewhere? (IIHS crash testing, anyone?) It would take a lot of time, money and data to get the kind of results needed to argue every point made here. In the end, it doesn't matter if one car is marginally safer than another one if the driver inside makes a common mistake.

There are more important things to worry about on a personal level... let the government entities created to serve the public do their job and inform us of their conclusions.

So, everyone quit fighting over which is safer and just drive yours as safely as you possibly can. Leave room in front, no cell phones or other distractions, and expect that nobody around you is paying attention. They probably aren't.
