i cant drive 55!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what is up with this car it love to run at 3100 rpms . i try so hard to get in a good mpg run and 3 or 4 mins later i look at the speed o and im closing in on 70!!!!!!but even fling im getting 40 mpg. i think if i can get speed down ill hit 45mpg plus. well i think im hearing a bit of a wizzing sound out of the tranny at low speeds with the windows down is this normal??

I think you meant wheezing, not wizzing at lower speeds. That's the sound of the mice catching their breath.
