Wow, that's great! Congratulations!

My best so far 44.7 mpg, but that's mixed driving and here in Washington we're forced to use E10 which doesn't help. One of these days I want to do a test drive on the freeway just to see what I it will do, but I don't know if I can get 50 mpg burning gasohol.

How many miles total on your car? I'm hoping break-in makes a difference, as my mileage isn't that great; but I only have 750 miles on the car. Good job at that. Hopefully the color helps too.

Good trip. Had I not had a 3pm engagement back here, I'd have probably shot over as well. Did you take I-4 over? How about the A/C? I went to Kissimmee a week ago using SR 50 and got 55mpg, admittedly with the A/C off and driving the speed limit, which is lower on 50 than on I-4.

You prolly did better than the average you'd gotten up till now since all-highway is generally better than mixes that include at least some city driving. But we've had this discussion before (this is at least the third time since I joined last month) and the answer is always the same:
a) too small a sample
b) the fuel nozzle doesn't shut off perfectly, so just because it clicked off at 4 gal doesn't mean you replaced all that you'd used; much more likely that you used about 4.5 gal (mpg = 45).
c) why do you suppose you'd suddenly get a 20% increase in mileage?
