I Drag raced a Hummer an 1

I test drove a smart today. an this kid in a H3 pulled up next to me a started Laughing. when the light turned He took off. I could tell he was going to do that. I put in manual mode and just let it shift on its own. I had him by 2nd gear . then I started Laughing.

We'll put the drag in drag racing.

Can we post it as street crawling? ;)

the other day when i came off a red light i timed myself from 0-60 in normal every day driving and i think every one should.it aint that fast so i think the smart will not slow me down at all except less gas stops!!!

Your caution is noteworthy

However in my opinion.... These modest stop light to stop light, or "I beat them to the on ramp" events are going to happen as part of daily driving. Posting the experience should not be construed as violating a car forums "no illegal activity" or "no street racing" rules.

I do agree that: Describing how you baited a driver, or any deliberate street racing, especially if you set up to go a specific place is against most car forum's rules.

For all of us to consider...

Be careful how you post these things...If you clearly did something questionable or unsafe, do not post about it. We know it was fun and you are alive to tell the tale...

Think of it from a other reader's point of view before posting

Be mindful that there are all ages and genders reading these public forums....not just a bunch of strange, weird, redneck, conservative, liberal, drunk. sober, grumpy old men reading these posts...

We do not want to glorify illegal or unsafe driving activity... Young folks and new drivers do not need any more bad examples then are already out on the roads

This includes retaliation stories... OK to post if a Hummer tried to put you in a ditch and how you survived it... but do not tell us how you chased them down and got into a fist fight or worse...

Yeah, Fred, when you get that think modded to run and handle like a mini F-16 make sure you keep secret your wide-open-roads-of-Texas exploits.

Me? I'm posting above-the-limiter speedo pics first chance I get.
