I fear I may have to jump to new Honda Insight

The Prius is a total snore to drive BUT I think it is amongst the most brilliant vehicles in our time.

It has broadened the appeal for hybrids (duh), it had crossed far beyond the typical market for a relatively cheap Japanese compact car, it hauls stuff like a station wagon, seats like a limo, was one of the cheapest cars to offer nav and Bluetooth when it was introduced, it can literally run on the energy it produces. If the new Insight offers much of what the Prius does, for less with as good or better mpg, that's great with me.

I like the new insight, except for those ugly wheels. If I had a need for a family car, I'd get one. It's got a little bit of Civic styling and I like that.

I agree. I like the look of the car until I got to the wheels. Ugh! I would hope they will offer different types......
