I got a speeding ticket!

Fortunately, for me, it was a "warning" ticket...not an infraction.

i was traveling 45 mph in a 35 mph construction zone! yipes! I could have received a major fine for that one! my lesson? pay more attention to the speedometer rather than the tachometer!

anyone else out there earned a speeding ticket in their smart yet?

got one after about a month...i was going right about the speed limit and getting passed by another car when the cop went by. but i still got the ticket. i got hosed.

that's funny!...I wasn't racing anyone, but, I was kind of curious why everyone else was so far behind me...the officer was back there watching me roll along!

I Just got a warning for doing 54mph in a 45zone right before the 55 sign.(very young state trooper) He was going to give a citation. But he saw my license was expired and gave me a ticket for that, and a warning for speeding. I think he probably thought I was younger, looking at my car and hearing the DT exhaust. Until he found out I'm 45.

If you want to be 'cloaked' from cops and state troopers and still want a small car, I would recommend something like an Aveo or a Fit. They don't draw attention. They blend right in with other traffic. Basically they are not head turners.

Smarts are still like Yellow Corvettes. A few miles above the speed limit and Boom......ON goes the lights.
