I didn't want to go through this BUT if you are interested this is the story....


On Monday the 3rd 2008 I went for a test drive to Atlanta MB dealer, was 1 1/2 hour late (cause of my girlfriend....) came there around 2:30. After driving it for about 20 min we asked when can we purchase one, they told us to get in line and pay $99 for it BUT the sales lady (very nice Alicia Mann) asked me what color do we want.... Well I like black on black with lather... She told me that someone just called (10 min ago) and canceled their reservation (which SHE told me was placed on January 2007) and she has to go upstairs to see what color it is.... well she came back smiling and saying "it is your lucky day" we have one BLACK but it's not leather.... after discussing it with My girlfriend We decided to take it...
Prior the purchase (couple of days) I checked on line (ebay) what Smart are going for... you can see that PPL are selling them for far more than what they pay for it....
I was planning to keep it BUT decided to try to put it on Ebay and see what will happen.... three days through I got about 800 hits and 7 calls about it... ONE OF them was from buyer... YES I SOLD IT!!! he is coming from out of state on Monday to pick it up...
BUT yesterday I took it for wash and gas and feel very bad for selling it cause of the feel of the car, PPL are honking and asking about it and I have to wait for a year to get another one.
that's the story....

About the Brabus... Before I got mine I didn't know anything about the models which will be available in US and was thinking that I could get Brabus.... that's it.....

If anyone should feel bad its your buyer, particularly if they wind up on this forum and ask if they overpaid. Since I purchased an orphan, my configured smart should be coming soon. I'll take whatever the dealer was going to charge me and your $5K profit. Will that make you feel better?
