I get to work early as the carpark is not big enough for everybody's car, and I sit and listen to the radio and have a lovely cup of coffee out of my insulated mug.
Well, this morning a work collegue came over while I was sitting in the car, and she said, Oh it's your car, I have been admiring it for ages, I love it, you do the same job as me, how can you afford a Ferrari?
I was in stitches, why do you think it is a Ferrari?, I said, and she pointed to the little yellow Lion Rampant flag, (it is one of the flags of Scotland) that I put on my arial, that is a Ferrari badge, is'nt it?
So I explained it is a Scottish flag, and that the car was a smart car, she did'nt believe me, she even went round the back to look at the badges, but I have debadged, so I had to show her the steering wheel, that had smart written on it, for her to believe me.
Ellis.
here is a piccy of my Ferrari
Thanks guys, the roadster is a cool car, but it does'nt look anything like a Ferrari, it is really a tiny car, Ferrari's are usually big wide cars, it looks more like a Lotus Elise if anything, 2 kids once shouted as I drove past, "Nice Lotus, Mister"
I sometimes park beside a Toyota MR2 mark 2, and the smart looks tiny compared to even that.

I was joking when I said it was "Ferrari". I want a roadster! I can see the forfour going but they need to bring back the roadster.

It's not going to happen, it is reputed that each roadster made cost Ł18,000, and they were sold for Ł13,500 in Britain, do the math, they used the roady as a testbed for a lot if the electronics so wrote off the loss that way.
The old Honda Insight hybrid car of the early 90's was the same, each one being sold for a loss.

They're bringing the Insight back though which is crazy. They don't look like a shoe on wheels anymore.
When I bought my car a year ago I decided to joke around and put a sticker on my car. Now a year ago it seemed as almost NO ONE knew what a Smart was.....so they thought it was a Ferrari.
Oddly enough, when my wife was in college she had a 3dr Mazda 323 with a real nice set of factory looking American wheels. I had de-badged the whole car and then threw set of authentic Ferrari stickers I had bought a few years earlier in Maranello, Italy. It actually was a cool looking little car. Sure enough, one day a med student with a stone dead serious look on his face asked how she could afford to have a Ferrari . She told him it was a Mazda but he said, "but it's got the emblems!".
