I parked next to a black Yaris hatchback today

When the Yaris first came out I took one of for a test drive and thought "wow, this is a tiny car!" So today when I was at best but I saw and open spot next to a black Yaris hatchback I couldn't resist parking right next to it, I tried to line up noses and when I got out I looked and had to double check that this car next to me was in fact that little Yaris I test drove. It looked like a crossover SUV next to my black Passion!

I parked next to a blue Yaris at work yesterday and moved up so our fronts were pretty closely matched. I think I may have been a hair ahead of him, when looking at the pics, but it's pretty darn close.

I got a couple of pictures (my first posted here of my smart!) to compare! (Awfully convenient of you to start this thread, Curtis! ;) )

We've already had a smart/Yaris thread that ended up making a lot of folks look... well, not their best. Don't want to go there again.

I actually think the Yaris hatchback is a very nice looking car, I only started this thread because I didn't realize how much bigger the Yaris is, when I drove one it seemed like a go-cart but just look at the side by side photo, if a Yaris is a go-cart we are all driving Hot-Wheels!

I, too, like the Y-hatchback look, especially in a light metallic that shows its lines.

.....and you're absolutely right John. as long as it stays 'light hearted' and at least have an attempt at humor, then all is well. if it starts to get 'ugly', hey.....YOU have "The Power"!!!!!

i actually wonder about this all the time, as i'm driving. the other day on I-65 i saw an old Ford Festiva 'rust bucket' with the driver white-knuckling it at a top speed of 50 MPH in a 65 zone!

anyway, i was thinking how the smart would compare in size. also, just yesterday i was behind an old Geo Metro...OLD Geo Metro with FIVE PEOPLE in it! WOW!!! it's butt was dragging.....anyway, just wondered how the smart would line up next to one of them too.

yea, i think about it all the time.....BUT now the wife has had her fill of it
