So my wife got a call saying that there was going to be an orphan available. We had put down a $500 deposit to get on our dealerships orphan list over a month ago. we checked the specs and it was very similar to our car so we decided to take it. She called them back and said we wanted it, the salesmen told her it was on hold untill 6:30PM and he would call us and let us know for sure then. 6:30 came and went with no call but the salesmen said he would only be there till 7 so i figured he just never got a chance to call, no big deal. We called as soon as they opened in the morning to asee what happened and he told my wifeeverything was all set, the loan was approved and the car was ready to go as soon as we came to pick it up. This didn't sound right because we never filled out any credit application or even got the final numbers for the car, my wife asked what he was talking about and he said werent you down hereallready, and you had put in your deposit last week? she explained to him we had put in a deposit over a month ago, but had not been to the dealership since. Turns out someone with the same first name as my wife got on the orphan list a few days earlier and they accidentally called her instead. Unfortunately by the time everyone realized what happened the paperwork was done and it was too late, they assured us that we would be first on the list for the next orphan to come through. Oh well, hopefully another one, or better yet the one we reserved, comes soon.
