First of all, I would like to thank my agent, Travis, without whom none of this would have been possible, and the tech crew, who were wonderful behind the scenes, and most of all, I want to thank YOU, for all your words of wisdom and helpful advice that have made me what I am today: A proud, educated smart OWNER!!
Took delivery yesterday afternoon, spent the evening tooling around.
Truly, I can’t thank everyone enough for all your valuable information and encouragement regarding this car. Can you imagine sitting in that car and trying to drive it without advance info? It’s weird, it’s wild, it’s wacky. Love it. I experimented with the automatic mode but couldn’t stand it. I know it will probably settle in, but I will probably always be a manual girl. Very difficult keeping it under 3500 rpm for the break-in. I want to fly! I forgot to ask Sean, Loutech, about the firmware flash. I’ll do that today, since my sunshade is already off the track on the passenger’s side!
An amusing sidestory, two days ago I was in Asheville, NC and saw a white cabrio parked on the curb. There was a gawker, so of course I had to tell him that I was picking up my smart the next day. Since the owner didn’t seem to be around (CA plates, BTW), I stood there for 10 minutes and told the guy all about the car. Refreshing and energizing!
Now, I’m off to drive. Promise to post pics ASAP.
