Recieved mine today. They are by far the heaviest, most well constructed, good looking and best fit floor mats I have seen. Ordered them because my smart velour are already showing wear.
These are remarkable--a heavt duty rubber back impervious to sand, water, snow etc, a heavt coco fiber top in colors to match your smart. Well bound and a perfect, full coverage fit.
They are pricey and take two to three weeks to get as they are custom made to your order but I believe you will find them to be outstanding.
If you are in Michigan I believe the Bloomfield Hills Dealer is carrying them in stock, otherwise use the website.
LloydMats has been working with us and has provided some samples that we will be giving away in the next few months and I must say they are top quality.
i ordered the coco in black/blue dot a week or so ago. they seem to be more substantial and better-constructed than most "carpet" or "plush" style mats. plush mats tend to show dirt and sand and gravel a bit more readily than the coco type does. the coco is probably about 2x as hefty as well. plus the coco style has more of a heritage connection to mercedes and old foreign classic cars. so there's that nostalgia bit at work too.
just put an order in (for the coco's) this past weekend.
monday afternoon, i went online to the coco's website, and noticed my order was still in a 'pending' status. called them, and asked if they got my order ok?
they said that they did, and the online invoice would remain 'pending' until they actually shipped the mats. seems that depending on inventory levels, some sort of time is needed, to make up a batch (imagine that).
anyways, they figured it would be about a week, i'm looking forward.
I ordered some loyd mats (the heavy duty rubber kind) from stylintrucks.com. Its amazing how much they can vary in price per web page! At stylintrucks they were $39.99, where they were $60 on other sites, who used the same order system to Lloy Mats. The mats took about a week to get here, and once they did, I found them to fit very well, and the rubber seems durable. They stay in place nicely.
The only downsides: the ones I got didn't come with the extra bit that goes up onto the footrest on the driver's side (I would think that's the second most important place to have carpet protection), and the rubber is still really smelly if the car is left in the sun for a few hours. Now I'm having second thoughts and am thinking of getting the nice cloth Lloyd mats with the red outline, as they are pictured with the footrest part and probably don't smell.
Carl242, I got the rubber Lloyd mats but before I put them in i let them sit out for a couple days and they smell fine. I like these mats alot, they give it a very cool look, everyone always makes comments about them and how cool they are plus when it comes to cleaning I just hang 'em at the car wash and spray them off and they are like new

Nice. I'll give'em a chance to air out then.
BTW, i looked up the cloth mats with the borders, and it seems that the person who promotes them on these forums, Smart Car FloorMats, sells them a bit cheaper than StylinTrucks. Stylin sells them for 99.99 with the border, and Smart Car FloorMats is advertising 90. Go Figure
I went with the cocoa mats in my smart and they are by far the nicest accessory I have ever purchased. Very solid and well made and they look great in the car. Nothing against the Lloyds mats the seem to be very well made as well. I just chose the cocoa's and absolutely no disappointment. Wife is pestering me to buy a set for her mustang now which is quite a testimonial since she normally doesnt car about anything car related.
