MINI has spoiled many of us with it's top-notch marketing to owners, particularly the early owners. Brilliant ** and set the bar awfully high, without spending that much money.

I was a little sad when I watched many videos on YouTube that Roger was like comparing the smart with other cars calling them "grown up cars". To me, it feels like there is not much care for the consumers - mostly what $$$ goes into their pockets. I know they are running a company, but the lack of communication, the crappy warranty offered has started to leave me in the muddy waters...

SmartJJ, can I ask you a question? If you care to reply here its fine but you can also message me if you wish. I see you have a mini - and it seems that you are pretty happy judging by your previous post, but I'd like to know why you are getting a smart. The mini has great gas mileage and is totally fun to drive... I am just curious. THanks in advance for your reply.

I now have 500 miles on my smart... have owned over 30 cars including Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Acura, Honda, VW, Scion... yet the smart is BY FAR my favorite-car-to-date of all that I've owned. It's still too early to say long-term how this will go, but no car has called me so strongly to get in it and drive somewhere... anywhere...

It's not the biggest, nor the fanciest, nor the sportiest, nor the most luxurious... but it is tight, wickedly fun, and a superbly well-executed example of how a manufacturer can stay faithful to its core design philosophy. I can't imagine how any car could bring a bigger smile to one's face. Sometimes less IS more!

Anyone who gets out of the order-line, great! I'll be re-ordering this week and prefer not to wait so long the next time, hehe.

Reordering because I'd like to be ready when start/stop/Brabus will be available.

My smart calls to me too, and I can't not drive it! Those of you with reservations about getting it need to not have them. I had them worse than some of you did but I am glad I waited. The car is great.

Because I love small cars? To be honest, probably because I also like having one of the newer cars on the block, as well.

The MINI is for the back seat ** I can cart my nephews around in it. But I can't say it gets the best mileage, which might have something to do with the fact that I drive it pretty aggressively. So I get around 23ish in the city. I actually get better mileage in my Audi TT (more like 28, even driven aggressively, as well).

I don't know how long I will keep the smart ** I'll just have to see how much I enjoy it. But I am looking forward to seeing how well all three fit in a 2-car garage!

If you ordered a fully loaded Blue/Black/Black and change your mind, by the car and sell it to me.

I test drove a Mini and was underwhelmed by the ride. This was the Cooper S Convertible. It was like a bowl of Corn Flakes that had soaked in the milk for two hours. smart is honey, nut, and fruit granola with freshly poured cream.
