Increased production?

Has anyone heard anything about upping the 08 production? I read that the french have different labor laws than we do here so adding another shift is just about out of the question.

True. Adding a third shift is a "job for life" proposition for MB. Won't happen just so you can get your car earlier.

I called around to every dealer in the Northeast and Middle Atlantic as well as some other regions. Some of the dealers I asked how many cars they are expecting in March and April. The number of cars coming next month according to those that I talked to is expected to double to quadruple. 15 to 30 cars per month (depending on dealer and their reservation holders), so I expect a lot more orphans to be available in the coming months.

But for those waiting on their reservation holding cars to arrive, that I don't know much about. I haven't confirmed yet. They are giving me until March 9th to confirm...I don't know why I can't go through with the confirmation. I started the original reservation in July!

It's a very individual thing but upon having doubts I went to a large dealer here in Devon, PA who has many fortwos and fell back in luv with the little bugger. I'm hooked.

Even if you confirm, you don't have to take delivery. But maybe you lose the $99 deposit - not sure.

The deposit has so far been refundable all the way.

That sounds good, but maybe in reality isn't that just because most dealers in the early going have been getting only 1/4 or half the cars they have been entitled to get?
