Independent repair shops in OC S.Cal

Has anyone used an independent for oil changes or small repairs? I would like to take my Smart to a fastlube shop but they tell me they never worked on any Smart Cars yet. Would you be willing to be a ginnypig for a shop to learn on?
I know oil changes are easy on this car, ok ok I'm lazy, I said it, you happy now. LOL

Let me know If anyone knows a good Smart mechanic is South O.C. (not L.A.). We take our MB cars to an MB mechanic, just not sure they would know or understand Smart Cars.

It's like it used to make me nervous when I took my MR2 to a Toyota mechanic and he would open the front hood to check the engine, then open the trunk and not find the engine there, and then I would usually say, nice to meet ya, gotta go
