How much room is there for the driver/passenger?

I'm 6'4" and wonder if I'd fit -

Not sure why, I want one. Our daughter will be old enough to drive in a year or so, I could see it possibly being the perfect car for her -

After I break it in for a couple years!

I got some pictures of a 6' 3" 300 lbs+ guy in a smart. He fits just fine and is buying one. Check for them with the keywords smart house on the picture forum.

At the LA Auto Show a couple of huge dudes, both over 6' and 250 lbs each climbed in together. Laughing they said they both fit at the same time. Another 6' 5" guy also got in, and he says he can't be really comfortable in any car, and this was no worse than his Mini.

I'm 6'2" and have to put the seat forward one notch from fully back.

Thanks for the reply - I just watched the video "Big Guy" - looks like there is plenty of room.

I currently drive a 944, getting in and out is a PIA, but it is comfortable.

When was the last time I got this excited about a new car anyway?

Not sure when you did. For me it was back in 1999 in Vienna Austria at the smart dealer on the Ringstrasse. Wish I could have put the 450 in the overhead compartment flying home. Eight years later I will finally consummate the dream and for less than $15,000!!!

yup

I'm 6' 8", 260 lbs. There's more room in my Smart than in my Mercedes.

Best Regards,

Our 6'7" son fits. But he didn't fit in my '97 Linc. Cont. as he knees were spread across the dash.

My wife is 6'0 and her brother is 6'7 and both claim that my smart is more comfortable than my land rover. Let the fun begin

6"3'ish and around 240# and I fit easier than in my Saturn SL2.

Another thing to remember about the Smart is that it's much higher than most cars, so it's a lot easier to get in and out of. I pivot myself in, then brace my left foot on the floorboard provided for that purpose and arrange myself into position, then reach behind me to grab the elusive seatbelt, LOL.

Because the car is narrow, the only real issue is when you have a passenger: you have to take turns buckling up.
