International price comparison

Since this is an international forum, I was wondering what a 451 costs worldwide.
For comparison I suggest we use a NEW 451 pure (no options).

Ill start with Belgium.

Belgium: $ 11,449.08 (€ 7700)

It's not rally a fair comparison as what's stock on the pure in Canada isn't in the US as an example...

I had already looked one day out of boredom what MY smart would have cost in Holland, where I used to live, and it was EXPENSIVE! Things in BE are typically much cheaper than NL, though. I always liked to drive down and do some major grocery shopping and fill up my car with gas in a BE border town just because it saved tons!!

Ok, back on topic... NL, from €8450, or $12,596.

Prices are all over the place, apparently determined by each country's smart importer. The conversion to US $ is a fun exercise but IMHO doesn't really tell us much (except how weak the dollar is) as one euro or one pound or one dollar is treated pretty much the same in the "host" nation. We don't complain about paying $4 for a Starbucks in the US but 4 Euros for the same cup of coffee gets everyone excited - except the locals; 4 Euros to them is the same as $4 to us.

Mexico, $185.900 pesos at todays exchange rate is about $14,500 USD. I think the Passion is over $15,000 and the Cabrio about $17,000.

Those prices include the 15% IVA tax, so the prices are about $12,300, $12,800 and $14,450 USD.

Only an imbecile would go to Starbucks in Europe...... Much better coffee is available anywhere else for less.

The US has about the lowest smart prices anywhere.
