Introducing Marsya and first impressions

Here is my new baby Marsya (mar see ya) there is a long mythology name behind the name. AKA BLQ SPOT!!

1st) I love it more then I though I would.
2nd) WOW the auto mode blows!!! but the manual mode is so dame fun why would you ever drive auto!
3rd) Way better pick up then I expected in manual mode but I'm sure I'm killing my MPG
4th) I was nervous about the ride, smoother then my Tacoma! a little bumpier at higher freeway speeds!

About Smart West Covina... they were awesome... Lena was great! They were almost to easy, but they knew I am a manager for CarMax so they made not have bothered to try to "sell" me.

In conclusion. I freaking love it!!! 15 months a long $#%# time to wait but it's worth it now!!

Congratulations! Cool name, cool looking car.

I found the auto mode smoothed out considerably after about 1000 miles.

Yep, auto mode's rough as hell for the first 500 miles or so, depending on how much it's shifting. It just has to break in and 'practice' essentially. Like the leather seats I got ... they're really stiff on day one but like a baseball glove, with a little time they settle in and soften up.

Auto mode's great for early mornings when I'm groggy and care more about getting to work on time than the jackass behind me that wants me to do 0-40 in 2 seconds so we can share the thrill of red light racing.

In manual mode, if I time it right I can shift smoothly. If I don't time it right, it reminds me that I have only 5 months experience driving a manual and would have smoked the clutch on any other manual. Auto mode prevents all of the damage I'd have done.

Is she an '08 or an '09? I'm wondering if the '09s will shift any differently. We'll be getting ours in around a month.

Well that depends... a few weeks ago CarMax would have offered my probably more then I bought it for. If you look at CarMax.com they now have 5 that have been sitting there. Everything from a pretty base to a convertible. Everyone looks at them but no one is buying.

Mine is an 08, it was literally one of the last 08's build and I was really afraid/pissed that someone was going to receive and 09 before I got my 08
