I am not an iPod fan at all, however I like my iPhone for it's wifi, texting and phone but would buy an iPod only if it featured an AM radio. MP3's are so 2004.

ps- I have an unlocked iphone so I don't have to sign 2 years to AT&T's crappy service

Yep, am aware of the Apple forums. Spent hours there trying to figure out what was wrong with the one that died. All kinds of suggestions, ranging from changing batteries to resetting to reformatting to dropping it off a roof.

I just installed my in dash 6.2" DVD player with SD card slot, USB input and I have it on AM talk all day!! maybe I should hook it up in mono

I drilled a hole in the glovebox so the cord now comes out in the back. When I don't use the iPod I just pull it back into the glovebox. The hole looks like it's a factory drain hole, very unobtrusive.

BTW you do not have to record as an MP3, I have nearly 9000 songs and all are recorded at the CD bitrate. Of course none are downloaded, legally or otherwise, all are ripped from my CD collection or from my LP's. It surprised me how fast 60gig will fill up!

With most Apple products, you get a couple of white decals...

I've got an extra Apple logo sitting here...it will be the only external non-smart emblem on Scooter... I thought about an HRC sticker, but it clashes with the white/silver

How's the sound quality?

What is this recording music as CD bitrate? where and what do you burn it to? What kind of reader does it take?
