I'm at 2750 on the odometer and I have noticed the car is running smoother and the Scan Gauge is showing very high MPG. It's too soon to fill up but I expect better than my usual 40 to 43 MPG.

I don't drive any different than I have with my other cars, maybe a little lighter on the gas and a little more coasting to the stops.

I'm waiting for one of you genius to come up with the key breakthrough with this car some little thing that will turn it into a 50 to 60 MPG car like in Europe.

Ok I am new. The gas gauge has 8 bars on it and we take 8 gallons of gas .Well I went 72 miles on my first 72 miles before my gauge went to 7 bars so does that mean I got 72 mpg?

It seems that first bar may take a bit more then one gallon to drop

If the next tankful gets unexpectantly lower mpgs, then we know the nozzle clicked off a little too soon. Still....anything over 40 is great!

Possibly SmartCard, it has click early in the past. But its fun to look at the positive side of things eh'?

Also I will post my next mileage here when I fill up next time. Look for an update in 1 week.

No I usually drive with the drivers side window down (90% of time) Sometimes both windows, I never used the AC in that last test.

I do remember that I re inflated my tires though, they are about 1-2 psi higher than the 29/36. (The air hose inflated them too quickly)

UPDATE, I did my next fill up.

I used a different pump this time, to make sure it wasn't an early click, and I got my MPG calculated to be 39.96 so roughly 40. I suppose the 52mpg did result from a possible early click on the pump, but I refuse to accept. I'm keeping my chin up and say I'm part of the 50+ mpg club.

My driving between fill-ups was more city driving as well, not as much to-from work. More so shopping/town hopping. But overall average between fill-ups is ~ 46mpg. Numbers don't lie.
