yes, receipts will do it.

They cannot legally deny your warranty. Just make sure you do it right and document exactly what you've done so there's no question. ;)

Or get it done at another shop that doesn't charge so much in labor. It might be hard to find one at first but as time goes on there will be more shops familiar with Smarts.

Where did you get the service booklet? Did it come with the car?

It comes with the car it's one of the thin booklets you get has the service intervals list of items performed and a place to record date/mileage/initial

thanks, that is what I thought it was. Not sure why, but I thought we did not get one with the smart.

I agree with you there, Alchemy R. I did that wih my Explorer and Miata. The only thing is this Mercede Benz service center refused to acknowledge an owner's oil change by wanting to charge full price for 10K service. The alternative would have been perform the complete 10K maintenance routine and bypass the dealer all together.
Oh, yeah. I never mentioned this service center for Smarts is part of a Benz dealership named after some guy named Roger P.

No wonder my daughter loves her Saturn dealer. She gets pretty fast service and while she waits they have pastries and hot drinks. She is updated on their progress and leaves after a free car wash. If she can't make it to the dealership, they will pick her car up at her office and return it when finished. Hard to beat that.

I picked up my Passion from Edison smart in NJ yesterday. The salesman took me to the service center to show me around. I thought I was in a five star hotel lobby! Coolers fully stocked with soda, juice, milk etc, pastries, sandwiches, coffee...you name it! Leather couches, a couple separate lounges, free high speed internet, big screen tv's! Guess it helps if I mention they also service Mercedes, Jaguar and Aston Martin! This place was unbelievable! It would be worth the three hour drive for service just to lounge around for a few hours!

What does that mean - they wouldn't take your word for it? I'd be looking for another service place at that point. Just my .02.
