"Kick it the butt"

After picking-up the wife's smart Passion around the middle of May, we finally sold her Chevrolet Equinox. The buyer looked and test drove it Thursday evening and called me yesterday afternoon (Friday) to inform me that they wanted it. Took the "For Sale" signs off the side windows, cleaned off the tape and decided to vacuum out the indside one last time. Since the Equinox can't be delivered until Monday evening (both wife and buyer work and wife is out of town right now being a "new grandmother" (a healthy boy born last Thursday - September 25th), I was going to put said vehile out of the way until needed since it was all cleaned-up and ready to be delivered.
Turning around in my driveway...I backed into a tree (this vehicle was in perfect shape with 40,500 miles on the clock). It did have a very small dent originally but the paint wasn't broken (looked like a shopping cart accident)so I had out of those "dentless" car repair people come to the house and worked it out (even coming to our house and spending 3/4 of an hour, he charged me only $40.00).
Oh well, this boo-boo is $843.00 out of my pocket but since it is only "cosmetic" damage and I am having it repaired, the buyer still wants the vehicle. Guess I should be happy and as soon as I stop kicking myself in the a**, I'll probably laugh someday about my stupidity...
