Kinda sad day....minus a Smart..+a Fit

When I ordered my Smart in June of 2007 things were a bit different. All my kids had grown and left home, my wife worked for weeks at a time out of state.....so it was just me and my Smart. Almost 2 years later and things have chenged a bunch. One child had to move back home, another has a child on the way....and the Smart as my primary car was not working. So after a hunt I traded my orphan black on black Pure in on a Honda Fit. (black on black!)

The Fit is great but it ain't a Smart. But they are similar in enough ways that it will be a decent substitute. It would be REALLY hard if it were not for the fact my son has a Pure Bee (the car I ordered in 07) that I can 'steal' now and then for a fix! I am going to miss my little black car....but the co-owners of the dealership almost had a fight over who was going to get my Smart so someone will enjoy it I hope!
It was a great 13 months !!!

Yeah, I guess I would have a fit if I had to give up my smart...

Sorry to hear that Dave......but just because you bought a Fit, don't be a stranger, OK?

BTW, you can post a pic of it here......we won't kill you or anything.

I like the Fit, it's a great car. People are free to choose whatever they want or need and the Fit would be my other favorite daily driver available today.

Great choice of an alternate/replacement. The Fit would be top choice with a Scion Xd or Yaris 5dr being a close second/third.

hi,
With May comes the return of Joe Mauer, longer daylight hours and, as the nursery rhyme would have it, flowers. So allow me, then, to toss a few apology bouquets in the general direction of those players and teams whom I've callously maligned.
Kosuke Fukudome -- you are not "the baseball equivalent of an American-made car." Hank Blalock -- you are not a "no-dimensional" player. And the Mariners -- you are not "an outhouse on the outskirts of Baseballville." My bad. I hope we can make nice over a potable beverage or three before the season is out.
At the same time, I'm sticking with a great majority of my critiques. I'm standing behind my characterizations of Marco Scutaro (".329 career OBP guys don't suddenly become .406 ones without paying off a few umps") and the Pirates ("10 games under .500 by the end of May"). Happily, I can still explain most everything away with three simple words -- "small," "sample" and "size," so there's hope yet for these and the rest of my ill-advised preseason predictions.

We have a Fit. Its been a great car. I took it on a road trip to Alberta two weeks ago and it got a respectable 58mpg on the trip out and 56mpg coming home.
This is Imperial gallons, not U.S gallons. Don't know what that would be in U.S terms.
But now the teenagers will have their turn, poor thing.

If I'm not mistaken, the 58 mpg (imperial) works out to about 48.3 U.S. Still pretty respectable in ANY book!! And I would have bought a Fit in a heartbeat IF it had come out just a little bit sooner, but I'd already bought an Aveo for my wife! :>(
