Here is some info from the today event in Orlando.
We got 207 smarts. Dave Schembri announced that every '08 smart will be flashed to '09 software. We should start to receive letters soon. He addressed battery issue too. He mentioned that batteries on many '08 smarts will be upgraded to the higher capacity batteries under the warranty. Also there is the factory cruise control is in the works, but we probably will not see it till 2011. No plans to bring Diesel here, but we will have Smart ED here in the States. Brabus parts will be available thru Smart Centers parts departments for everyone.

Breathless performance announced release of bolt on Turbo kit.

$3000 uninstalled for 3-4lbs of boost. Also very close to the magic 100ft lbs of tourqe that makes the standard clutch pack go BOOM. I'll pass. This car is not and never will be an Evo.

The drive after the event was fantastic too... about 35 smarts tooling through Disney World!!! It was a sight!!!

Yes this indeed was one of the funnest and most exiting events I have been to for as long I can remember.
Im happy to hear about the reflash of all 08 to have 09 sofware when Dave made his speech.
The rally cruise was great and we even passed Shaq's old house.
The turbo kit on display being released soon by Breathless is a great accomplishment. Since its the 1st in production for our 451 as an aftermarket kit and no other vendor has yet to come close to making it a reality I will be honored to pay $2500 - 3000 for the Turbo kit. Im sure as more vendors develop a turbo kit for our smarts and then the price will come down however much props to Breathless again for their determination to make it happen.
