Thank you JPaul, yet another thing I didn't know about!
Once you go to the Scribd site (and go through the process of signing up for a free account,) you'll find a tab labeled "download" above the window showing the manual. When you click that tab, you then have the option of downloading it as a pdf or as plain text.

One more thing: depending on your browser, you may or may not be able to highlight, copy and paste from within your pdf. file. I.e., in Apple's Safari, I cannot; but when I keep the document in Adobe, I can... Just in case.
