Lloyd Mats RubberTite cargo mat

I wanted to pick up something to protect the luggage area and possibly reduce engine noise and heat a bit (not that there's terribly much to begin with). I didn't care for the design of the OEM smart "boot tray", and most options, including the boot tray, seemed too expensive to me. After some searching, I stumbled upon the Lloyd Mats RubberTite cargo mat, which comes in black, grey, tan, or clear. It is heavy rubber with moulded-in circles to catch spills, and will hopefully dampen sound quite well. Lloyd Mats has a great reputation for making quality mats, so I expect fit and finish to be top-notch. Best of all, it was only $40 shipped. I'll let everyone know how it is once I receive it, but it seems like this is a great choice for those looking for a cargo mat at a reasonable price.

I have the Lloyd's floor mats and they are of excellent quality. I went with the OEM boot tray because I frequently haul plants and such in my Smart and I've found the circles and hex designs to be a PITA to clean. The lip on the OEM one contains the dirt and water and cleans up nicely with a simple water rinse from the garden hose. And, a Rolo organizer sits nicely in it to be opened when you need to partition off stuff to keep things from sliding around and/or tipping over. (When you just want the rubber tray, the Rolo folds flat and slides behind the passenger seat. Bottom line (pending Padawan's eval) is probably that both mats are good, just think about what you might be spilling and which would be easier to clean before you make a choice.... Just my 2¢
