Just yesterday I went to the local HOffman's carwash and as the gentlemen was vacuuming out the back for me, he commented that he would not like to be in this death trap if it were hit by a larger vehicle. I immediately snapped out my info that I keep in the car for such encounters showing the tridion and explaining that this little booger (as Karl calls it) has NASCAR type roll cage protection called the Tridion Safety Cell and went on to explain it to him in the usual way one presents something new to the sometimes ignorant public but trying very hard not to talk down.....sometimes this is difficult to do....;)
He thanked me for the mini-education and said he would modify his attitude on the car saying, "So this is built more like an escape capsule in an accident rather than a death trap, isn't it?" YUP I told him.
OH and another point to make....Remember to turn off your rain sensing wipers (if you have them) before you send your car thru one of these better made automatic car washes. If the wipers actuate (and they will) then the floating wiper strips are dancing over your car, they may get caught in the wipers and rip them off!!
Just another day in the experiences with a smart car....and another fun day, too!
