Lock and Beep ??

I am to wonder if there is a way to get my 2008 Passion Cabriolet to beep when I lock it with the push button key? That is, I guess I don't have that feature but wonder if I can have it added and be smartcar equipment?

trade your car with one of the drivers who hates their security beep

No way! I want to keep my Cabrio, I like it more than the beep. Would just like to have the beep if that were possible.

To get the beep, you would need the factory alarm system which can't be added once it leaves the factory.

I keep trying to remind myself to watch for the lights flash to indicate it is locked.. A good reason to look at your car again. Nobody can say you are vain as you are checking the security of your ride.

I was afraid of that. Oh well, I have a compulsive disorder anyone, so there is never a problem with me looking back and locking at least once more

You could always add a third party system.

I can usually hear the locks engage; I hit the button as soon as I close the door.

Has anyone here ever used one of those wheel/tire locking devices on their smart? This thing is heavy red metal, and slips through the wheel, clamps together, and won't allow the car to be rolled or moved in any way. Anyone?

Just out of curiosity, I used ours (for our band trailer) on the smart wheels, and it worked just fine. While made for the slotted wheels on our trailer, it fit in the nine spoke wheel just as well.

However, the class way to steal a booted/clamped trailer with a hitch ball lock is to winch it up on a flatbed. The smart would probably be amiable to the same approach, if anyone tried to lift one.
