We send all of our adapter customers to RAD-USA for bolts and locks. radusadirect.com

(No commercial affiliation, just a source we've used with good results.)

Cheers,

Johnny

Smart should be able to sell you the smart ones although they are just repackaged McGard products, very good security bolts though.

I'm relying on two things right now that require no action on my part to keep my rims from being stolen.

(1) they are bone stock rims whose three-lug pattern fits all of one car available in the US today.
(2) from what I've read on this forum, no one seems to have a lug wrench that will fit them

Normally the thief is a car thief will take the whole car...then they have all the time to bypass the locking lugs.

Locking lugs are a waste of money. The locking lugs are also a pain in the rear if you "accidently" loose the key.

I'm with Red fortwo; they're going to steal your wheels and then.... find out nobody can use them.

With the popularity of putting wider stock rims on the fronts growing and the ridiculous $320 smart charges for each there may be a market for steeling YOUR rims.......

P.S. Red Four Two - Locking nuts come with a keyed socket to use.

I know how they work. I was referring to the stock lug nuts and previous posts when people have wanted to change rims but found that their lug wrenches from just about any other vehicle wouldn't work.

I also know that if you lose that socket (or leave it at home on your work bench the day you drive over that nail, you're dead in the water. You're left with tearing it up with vise grips if you can get them around the outside of the nut or drilling a hole through the top of it and using a bolt extractor.

One of the best ways for me to keep my rims safe is to stay out of the neighborhoods where that sort of criminal activity is prevalent. That pays off in avoiding scores of other issues, too.

Awhile back, I purchased ball seat chrome lug bolts from ezaccessory.com. They have standard 17mm heads. I then picked up some ball seat Mcguards also with a 17mm key from SFX Performance for under $48 shipped. Everything fits my standard lug wrench.

I know our bolt pattern is unique but it's just some added security for my Rials.
