Not long by the usual standards, but long enough. My wife, for most of the time, was indifferent about delivery dates. But, once the real deal was on shore, it has been difficult to rein her in. She is doing whatever it takes to shift swap and get the time off to pick her up. I have already ordered some $1200 in extras to put on. I have some work cut out ahead.

Soo... How is it? I have had the same DDE as you, and then was told a week ago to expect it this week! Called the dealer because I haven't heard back and was told it is being held up in customs and it is a week or two out. Anyone else have something stuck in customs? If mine is stuck, why isn't yours???

debbyp2000,
I picked up my new Brabus cabriolet yesterday. The dealership did not mention anything about a hold in customs. Realize here that I took delivery of an orphan exactly like the one that I ordered. The "cute" factor is off the scale. I take a lot of what is said here with regard to the car and it's ride and handling with a grain of salt. Due to the short wheel base it hops over bumps tied together with a very tight and stiff suspension, these quirks dampen out almost immediately. The acceleration is adequate and the Brabus exhaust has cute low rumble to it. Aside from any potential future anomolies, I personally don't see what the fuss is all about. It is what it is! A two-seat city urban runabout. Nothing more, nothing less. I reiterate, it reminds me of the old VW Beetle. A cute, fun car to get about. I say here emphatically, Let the FUN begin!
