Seriously though, I've seen 50MPG in my own car on short trips using ScanGauge, having confirmed the gauge's accuracy between two fillups - one before and one after. But around here nobody lets you drive under 60 for long, and I have to speed up and slow down in response to traffic, people turning, heavy wind and hills, etc. I can imagine there are some open spaces in Nebraska where I could get 60MPG if I tried. Regardless, anything's better than the 11City/18Hwy I get with the Explorer that now sees the garage more than the street.

My smart is weird. The faster I go meaning 60+ mph the better mileage I get

The faster over 60MPH ya go the better the fuel economy on a Smart?

That's nutz and you need to go back and check yer math my friend. It ain't happenin....

this last tank of gas I had I have been going to the beach everyday and it's all highway and I have been going no less than 75-80 and I got the 277.1 with the 4.189 gallons.


And when I go like 60 I get less mpg. Weird

Jedi, mine is the same... above 60mph and I get better gas mileage... dunno why... maybe something in the gas here in Florida??

Yes it's mostly flat... and unless there's no choice it's Shell 93 Premium or Chevron Premium.
