I think you'll do fine and just remember to be extra careful in possible windy situations.

I wish you the best whatever possible outcome, a positive attitude go a long way for EVERYONE. 2 nights ago I had to go the emergency room (not for me, but driving someone there). 40 miles to the emergency room and thanks to the wonderful military insurance system I was forced to pass 2 other emergency rooms. Once I got to the military base the gate guards wanted to have a conversation about the car. For the first time I yelled at someone curious about the car. I think he understood though as I said I had to get to the emergency room. The rest of the story will be appropriate for the Off-topic cafe.

--- What I am getting at, if you are in a hurry to get there it may not be the best car though you can easily ignore people but you seem too nice to ignore people in that way - no matter how grave the situation.

WOW, I dont know what to say here other than I am deeply touched by your words and gesture on this post. I have grown to love this place and it is somehow an extended family.

I am sorry if this is redundant to most of you all and "it's fo reakingly annoying" to hear this... But to me I wanted some re-assurance since I am traveling all by myself, in a weird state of mind and through places that only have cows and hay fields with no cell reception in the event that something goes wrong.

gosh, are we this insensitive? If you don't like the title, no one is forcing you to read it yes?
Moving along...

Sorry about your father

We drove up to Montreal from Boston last weekend for the F1 Canaadian Grand Prix - ~640 mile round trip. No problems - our smart handled the roads very well and neither my wife or I felt tired after either going or coming. We took I 93 to I 89 to Canadian border, then 133 from Philipsburg to Iberville and 35 to 10 and across Pont Champlain into the city. We averaged better than 40 mpg. We had no problem maintaining speeds - most of the open highway we drove around 65 to 70 (maximmum of 62 on 35 and 10.)

Hope this encourgages you to take your smart on the open road. Be sure to gas up in the US so you don't have to buy gas in Canada - it's over $5.00/gallon for regular - about $6.00 for 91 octane.
