Loose engine compartment insulation.

Greetings..Had a friend stop by today to let me know he had done his first oil change, but more importantly to have me check to see if the little "wing nuts" that hold the insulation up in place in the engine compartment were tight as his were loose and almost ready to fall off!
A quick check of mine found the same problem and a check of another friends smart showed the same.
With the lid off the engine compartment there are about 6 of these fasteners about the size of a quarter under the lip that thread on a stud and hold the insulation up in place.
You may want to check yours.

yep....common occurrence with all smarts...also check to see that the area in between the plastic wing nuts are not coming unglued and allow hot engine air to get under the insulation and cargo/cabin area sub floor....
